Bank Promotes Anna Shipman

East Lansing, MI (January 26, 2009) – Summit Community Bank President and CEO John Abbott recently announced the promotion of Anna Shipman to Operations Manager. Shipman has served as Operations and Accounting Specialist since joining the bank in 2003.

Shipman began her career in banking as a teller in 1989 with Capital Federal, which later became Community First Bank. She advanced to operations specialist I and II and later became supervisor of the newly formed call center. In 2000, Shipman joined the MSU Foundation where she served as a secretary until joining Summit Community Bank.

“This is a well deserved promotion,” says Abbott. “Many of us here at Summit Community Bank worked with Anna when we were at Community First Bank. We know her work ethic and her ability to understand and process comprehensive projects. She is truly an asset to our bank.”

Shipman graduated from Morrice High School and has attended Lansing Community College. She resides in Delta Township with her husband and daughter and their family pets.
