Summit Community Bank Promotes Adam Goss

Summit Community Bank President and CEO John Abbott recently announced the promotion of Adam Goss to Assistant Vice President.

Goss began his career with Summit Community Bank in 2007 as the Okemos Office Market Manager. At the time, the Bank had just opened its Okemos banking center located at 2151 West Grand River Avenue.

“This is a well-deserved promotion,” said Abbott. “Adam has helped Summit Community Bank become well known in the Okemos community by building solid relationships with the families, schools and businesses in the area. He is truly an asset to our Bank.”

As an Okemos native, Goss is a graduate of Okemos public schools. He earned a degree in economics and management from Albion College, in Albion, MI. Prior to joining Summit Community Bank Goss worked as a personal banker for a large financial institution within the Lansing and East Grand Rapids districts. He also was a senior field trainer with Bankers Life and Casualty Company. Goss has specialized training in commercial credit and cash management.

In the community, Goss is active in the Okemos Education Foundation, Haslett/Okemos Rotary Club and the Meridian Area Business Association. He is also a board member for Old Newsboys of Lansing and the Burcham Hills Foundation.

“Adam’s wealth of banking experience and his customer-focused banking style have positioned him as a leader in the community,” said Abbott. “It’s a perfect fit for our local community banking philosophy.”
